Word has been received here of the sudden and unexpected death of Dr. J. R. McGeorge of Hagerstown, a former resident of Covington and nephew of Tom Slattery and Mrs. Guy Hendrix. Dr. McGeorge, the son of a former Covington mayor, died at about 9:30 p. m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, while on a business trip in Indianapolis. He had been a practicing dentist in Hagerstown for a number of years. Dr. McGeorge is survived by his wife and three daughters. Other details and funeral arrangements were not available at press time today. --typed by Walt W
