HOOPESTON (CNS) - Benjamin F. "Ben" McGee, 66, of 525 S. Second Ave., died at 7:30 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 7, 1976) at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital. He had been a patient for six days. Born March 2, 1910, in Horse Cave, Ky., he was the son of William D. and Emma Lawson McGee. He was married Sept. 9, 1937, at Covington, Ind., to Frances Ray, who survives. A former 16 year member of the Hoopeston school board, he retired from the American Can Co., after 44 years of service. He also was a member of the former Hoopeston Planning Committee. Other survivors include a son, William "Bill" and a daughter, Mrs. George (Donna) Foster, both of Hoopeston; and five grandchildren. A daughter, a brother and a sister preceded him in death. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Floral Hill Cemetery. The Rev. W. D. Huffman will officiate. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home. - jlr
