McGAUGHEY, Ardella Inlow - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG -- Mrs. Ardella McGaughey, 88, 807 N. Walnut St., Veedersburg, died Sunday in the Ben Hur Nursing Home at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient for three years. Mrs. McGaughey was a 50-year member of Valletta Chapter 207, Order of Eastern Star; Veedersburg First Christian Church; Christian Women's Fellowship, and a charter member of Theta Nu Chi sorority. She graduated from Veedersburg High School in 1903. She was born June 28, 1884 in Fountain County, a daughter of John B. and Alice Inlow. She married Oliver W. McGaughey Sept. 17, 1913. He died in 1947. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Martha McGaughey of Veedersburg: two grandsons, and two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a son, John, in February, 1972. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Christian Church with Rev. Stephen Kivit officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery.
