Attica – Mrs. Stella A.  McFerren, 78 of 105 South Perry, Attica, died in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. She had been ill a month and patient in the hospital since June 30. Born at Green Hill, she was a seamstress and was married at Williamsport in 1904 to Lloyd McFerren who died 10 years ago. She was a member of Green Hill EUB Church. Rebekahs and Moose Auxiliary. Surviving are two sons, LD (Sy) McFerren of Attica and CC McFerren of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Simms of Detroit and sister, Mrs. Luella Voglund of Kentland.  – kbz

Mrs. Stella A. McFerren, 78, of 105 S. Perry St., Attica, died in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette, where she had been a patient three weeks, at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, July, 19, 1961.
She was born in Greenhill, Ind., Dec. 13, 1882, a daughter of James and Margaret Delaney LaForce.  She was married in 1904 to Lloyd McFerren,. who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two sons, L. Dale (Cy) of Attica and C. C. of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. Geneva Simms of Detroit; a sister, Mrs. Louella Voglund of Attica; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter and a sister.
She was a member of the Greenhill Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Moose Auxiliary and Rebekah Lodge.
Services were conducted at the DeSutter Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday.  Rev. Louis Haskell officiated.  Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.  - jz
