Lloyd Dale "Cy" McFerren, 54, of 1105 S. McDonald, Attica, died at 12:30 a.m. Sunday (April 6, 1969) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. He had been a patient there since 7 a.m. Saturday. Mr. McFerren was stricken ill in the office of Harrison Steel Casting Ci. where he had been employment manager for the past 33 years. Born April 3, 1915, in Williamsport, he was the son of Lloyd and Stella LaForce McFerren. He was married Feb. 7, 1960, at Kentland, Ind., to Virginia Haggard, who survives. Mr. McFerren resided in Williamsport until he was 5 years old when he moved to Attica with his family. He attended Attica schools and had resided there since that time. He was a sports enthusiast. A veteran of World War II, he was a life member of the Moose Lodge in Danville, Ill., a member of Aerie 2459 Eagles Lodge and VFW Post 3318. Other survivors include a brother, Clinton of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Services Wednesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. Douglas Dickey officiated. Burial in Riverside Cemetery. - jlr
