Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Attica— (CNS) — Lloyd McFerren, 70, Attica real estate dealer and former sheriff of Warren County for two terms, died at 11 a. m. Thursday (Nov. 1, 1951) at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette where he had been a patient 24 hours. He was born Jan. 22, 1881, at Independence, Ind. He was married to Stella LaForce of Greenhill, Ind., who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Clinton of Battle Ground, Ind., and Lloyd Dale of Attica; two daughters, Mrs. Geneva Sims of Detroit, .Mich., and Mrs. Marie Brier of Attica; a brother, Charles of Oakland, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Brutus of Independence, Ind., and Mrs. Ruth Odle of Lafayette and six grandchildren. The body is at the DeSutter Funeral Home where it will remain for services at 2 p. m. Sunday. The Rev. Otis Collier will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.  --typed by Walt W
