McELWEE, Helen Lindquist - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Kingman - Mrs. Helen Marie McElwee, 50, a custodian at Fountain Central Jr-Sr HS died Thursday in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. She had been in ill health for several months. She was a member of New Century Church and Chariot Rebekah Lodge 517 at Kingman. Born Oct 25, 1922, in Indiana, she was a daughter of Oscar and Sadie Gilbert Lindquist. She married Munson McElwee in 1942. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gene (Carolyn) Purple of Veedersburg; two sons, Robert and James of Veedersburg; four brothers, Charles, Tom and Francis of Veedersburg and Harry of Covington; six grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Woodrow Funeral Home here with Rev. George Souza officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday.
