Wesley Griffin McDougal, 59, of 915 Mound, died unexpectedly Thursday (May 29, 1969) at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. He had been a patient there since May 21. He was born in November 1909, in Leoma, Tenn. He moved to Saxton, Mo., where he resided for 18 years. He had resided in Attica the past five years. Mr. McDougal was married Aug. 11, 1931, at Naome, Tenn., to Lillie E. Laws. He was an oven operator at Harrison Steel Castings Co. for the past five years and prior to that, he was a farmer in Missouri. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Moose Lodge 1482 at Attica. Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Price of Orbendale, Fla.; four sons, Robert of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Franklin D. of West Lebanon, Dean of Sikerton, Mo., and Wesley Jr. of Attica, now in Vietnam; four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Schultz and Mrs. Marjorie Clayton, both of Leoma, Mrs. Della McCussick of Carlton, Mich., and Miss Edith McDougal of Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Hobart of Leoma and William of Louisiana; and seven grandchildren. Services Monday at the Freeman Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, Tenn. with burial in the Freeman Cemetery at Leoma. DeSutter Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. - jlr
