McDONNELL, John H.

John H. McDonnell, 65 years old, former Covington grocer, died after a lingering illness. Born April 10, 1878 in Covington, Mr. McDonnell was the son of Patrick and Mary Collins McDonnell. He was in the grocery business 35 years and also had served as grade school custodian 13 years.  Surviving are the widow, Elizabeth Ward McDonnell, to whom he was married June 7, 1921 and two sisters, Miss Mollie McDonnell and Mrs. William Peters, both of Covington.  Services were held at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning at St. Joseph with the Rev. Florian Delfosse officiating with burial in St. Joseph cemetery. – kbz
