William Carl McDaniel, 79, a resident of Covington since 1943 and a former resident of Attica, died Saturday (March 22, 1969) at the home of his son, Ray, in Covington. He had been seriously ill two months. Born March 21, 1890, at Silver City, Ky., he was the son of Riley and Sarah Eads McDaniel. He was married in 1915 to Pearl Whitus, who died in 1935. He was married in 1936 to Victoria Storey, who died in 1955, and he was married in 1961 to Grace Gouty, who died in 1968. Mr. McDaniel was employed as a construction worker and had attended the Bethel Full Gospel Church in Covington. Survivors include two sons, Ray of Covington and William of Attica; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by four sons, four daughters, a brother and three sisters. Services Tuesday at the Hegg Funeral Home. The Rev. Roger Simmons officiated. Burial in Quaker Cemetery.  -- jlr

COVINGTON - William Carl McDaniel, age 79, a resident of Covington since 1943 and a former resident of Attica, died at 8:20 p.m. Saturdav, March 22, at the home of his son, Ray, in Covington.  He had been seriously ill two months.
Mr. McDaniel was born March 21, 1890, at Silver City, Ky., the son of Riley and Sarah Eads McDaniel.  He was married in 1915 to Pearl Whitus, who died in 1935.  He was married in 1936 to Victoria Storey, who died in 1955, and in 1961 he was married to Grace Gouty, who died in 1968.
He was employed as a construction worker and had attended the Bethel Full Gospel Church here.
Surviving Mr. McDaniel are: two sons, Ray (Wimpy) McDaniel of Covington and William of Attica; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  He also was preceded in death by four sons, four daughters, one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hegg Funeral Home here.  The Rev. Roger Simmons, pastor of the Bethel Full Gospel Church, officiated.  Burial was in a Quaker Cemetery.  - jz
