Margaret Verna McCutchan 70 a resident of the Veedersburg community for 21 years succumbed at the Culver Hospital Wednesday March 30, 1960 at 9: 45 p.m.  She was admitted to the hospital earlier in the day. She had been ill 20 years with asthma.  A member of the Kingman EUB church she was born 3-3 0-1890 at Goodland Indiana to Robert and Sarah Thompson Gimmell.  She was married to Samuel McCutchan 6-6-1907.  She is survived by the husband 5 daughters; Mrs. Florence Barker of Kendallville; Mrs. Thelma Tipton of Miami, Fl; Mrs. Bethel Horton and Mrs. Barbara Shoaf of Veedersburg and Mrs Mary O. Black of Richland, Washington. 2 sons, James and Samuel Jr. both of Veedersburg 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; 3 sisters; Mrs. Agnes Gimmell, San Francisco Cal; Mae Schlater of Goodland; and Mrs. Anna Stanley of Wolcott; and two brothers, Robert Gimmell of Detroit, MI and John Gimmell of Chicago Ill; She was preceded in death by two daughters and a son. Funeral services were conducted at 1;30 p. m. at Fishero Funeral home with Rev JS Pritchad officiating. Interment in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. - kbz

Margaret Verna McCutchan, 70 passed away Wednesday night at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where she had been admitted that morning. Mrs. McCutchan was born March 30, 1890 the daughter of Robert and Sarah Thompson Gemmell in Goodland, Ind.  She was married to Samuel McCutchan on June 6, 1907 and he survives. They had made their home in Veedersburg since 1939.  Also surviving are 7 children: Mrs. Florence Barker of Kendallville, Indiana; Thelma Tipton, Miami Fla; James McCutchan, Sam McCutchan, Jr, Barbara Shoaf and Bethel Horton all of Veedersburg and Mary O’Black of Richland, Washington; three sisters, Agnes Gemmell of California; Mrs. May Schlater of Goodland and Anna Stanley of Wolcott, Ind; 2 brothers, Robert Gemmell of Michigan and John Gemmell of Chicago; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was a member of the EUB Church at Kingman.  Friends may call at the Fishero Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today Friday. Services will be held there at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. JS Pritchard officiating. Burial will be in the Kingman Fraternal Cemetery.
