James R. McCutchan Sr. of RR 1, Kingman, age 67, died Monday night, April 13, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born at Goodland, October 16, 1913, the son of Samuel and Verna Gillmil McCutchan. August 30, 1941, he married Ruth Wilson, who survives. An Army veteran of World War II, he had retired in 1973 as shop foreman at the Indiana State Highway garage at Veedersburg.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Wilson of Pine Village, Mrs. Janet Bowles of Veedersburg, Mrs. Juanita Story of Terre Haute and Mrs. Jane Combs of Williamsport; a son, Jerrold of RR 1, Kingman; four sisters, Mrs. Florence Barker and Mrs. Mary O’Black, both of Richland, Washington, Mrs. Barbara Shoaf of Vancouver, Washington, and Mrs. Bethal Horton of Veedersburg; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Kenneth Story officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. – thanks to S
