McCUBBIN, Bessie Robb - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Bessie Jane McCubbin, 86, died at her home at 603 Pixley at 5:30 p.m. yesterday (Dec. 3, 1967). She had been in ill health one year. She had lived at the Pixley address five years and in Danville 45 years. Born Aug. 29, 1881, in Covington, Ind., she was a daughter of George and Mary Alexander Robb. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary McMahon, Mrs. Ada Gruber and Mrs. Betty Burmeister, all Danville; a son, Ray McCubbin, Danville; a brother, J. W. "Bill" Robb, Danville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. McCubbin was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, in December of 1956, three daughters, a son, three sisters and a brother. She was a member of the East Park Church of Christ. Her hobbies were sewing and quilting. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Barrick & Son Funeral Home. Billy Ringold will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. - jlr
