McCOY, Phoebe Cheesman

Mrs. Phoebe Cheesman McCoy, 80, died at 1:40 p.m., April 5, 1973 (Thursday) at the Vermilion County hospital in Clinton, Ind. Mrs. McCoy was born Jan. 22, 1893, the daughter of Charles W. Cheesman and Sarah Ann Cubbage Cheesman. She was married Nov. 2, 1930 to Cecil G. McCoy who preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joe Celia "Ann" Bishop Rt. l Cayuga, Ind. and three brothers Arnold Cheesman of Newport, Charles and Luther Cheesman of Cayuga; and one sister, Mrs. Mayme Sturtevant of Danville. She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, four brothers and two sisters. She was a resident of Cayuga since 1910 and a 50 year member of Sterling Camp and #2441 Order of Royal Neighbors of Cayuga. The funeral was Sunday, April 8 at the residence in Eugene Ind. Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The Rev. William Nash officiated. Burial was in the Hughes Cemetery. - jlr
