TANGIER ~ Volna McCoy, 66, of Rt. 1, Tangier, died Tuesday in Lake View Hospital at Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient nine days. Mr. McCoy was a retired farmer. He was born May 24, 1903, at Marshfield, Ind., a son of William and Calvernia Smith McCoy. He was married Nov. 21, 1929, to Laura Marks. She died Oct. 25, 1955. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Roberta Mershon of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Marilyn Crum of Kingman and Mrs. Marjorie Brown of rural Tangier; a brother, Hershell, of rural Tangier, and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Rev. B. F. Nickless of Rockville officiating. Interment will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday. - jlr
