McCORMICK, Ruth Clodfelter - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ruth McCormick, 84 of 316 Fairlane Drive died at 2:20 p.m. Sunday in Culver Union Hospital at Crawfordsville. Mrs. McCormick was a former resident of Waynetown. She and her husband farmed southeast of Waynetown until 1978 when they moved to Crawfordsville. She was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church, DAR, Montgomery Chapter and the Montgomery County Historical Society. She attended Alamo schools. She was born April 2, 1904, to George and Froney Keller Clodfelder at Alamo. She was married to Harold McCormick on March 5, 1924. He died Oct 31. Surviving are two sons, Dr. Francis Eugene of Speedway and Dr. Roy L. of Muncie; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  A sister, Geneva Swindler of Crawfordsville is deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in the Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Steve Malone officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Note: Ruth was adorable and I so enjoyed she and her husband Harold when I was an early researcher in the county - their knowledge helped me a great deal!!
