Ladoga, March 5 – Mrs. Emma J. McCORMICK, 51, died at her home 2 miles north of here Saturday morning at 6 o’clock. Death was due to pneumonia from which the deceased had been suffering for the past two years. Mrs. McCormick was born near Yountsville May 31, 1880, the daughter of Jacob and Martha Michaels Stonebraker. She was married Dec 8, 1897 to Herbert R. (sic - I) McCormick. Mrs. McCormick was a member of the United Brethren Church. The survivors include the husband, Herbert R. McCormick; four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Meyers of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Ruth Newkirk of Wallace and Lois and Eleanor at home; 3 sons, Roy of Linden; Harold of Hillsboro and Barton at home; 8 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. RC Busenbark of New Market and two brothers, William Stonebraker of Crawfordsville and Nal (sic) Stonebraker of New Ross. The funeral services will be held at the Alamo Christian Church on Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock in charge of the Rev. Samuel G. Smith of Ladoga. Burial in Waynetown cemetery.
