McCORD, Gerald Vernon - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

NEWTOWN, Ind. (CNS) - Gerald Vernon McCord Jr., 28, of Washington, Mo., a former Newtown area resident, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 8, 1969) in Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Mo., of a heart ailment. Born in Lafayette, he was the son of Gerald and Lucille McKinney McCord. He married Georgianna Carroll in 1966. He graduated from Greeley High School, Colo., and attended Colorado State College in Greeley. He was a trustee of Kirby Presbyterian Church in St. Louis and a member of Hope Masonic Lodge, Washington, Mo. He is survived by the widow and a son, Gerald Vernon III, and his parents, all of Washington; a sister, Mrs. Delia Ozborn of Klamath Falls, Ore.; a brother, Mack M. McCord of Peyton. Colo.; and an aunt and an uncle. - jlr
