Edith McCord, 79 of 614 1/2 E. Jeferson St died at 12:20 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Lafayette. Mrs. McCord was a homemaker. She was born Oct 1, 1910 at Greenup, Ill. He survives and is a resident of Lafayette. Also surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Max (Melba) Ward of Englewood, Calif., Mrs. Joe (Betty) Partridge of Santa Anna, Caliuf and Mrs. John (Shirley) Stones of Beech Grove, Tenn and 9 grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 7-90 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. - kbz
