HIllsboro - Wallace F. (Wally) McCollum, 61 of Hillsboro died Tuesday evening at his home. He had been ill 15 months. He was born to Charles and Bessie Ellen Myers McCollum near Wallace March 27, 1904. He was married Dec 26 1946 to Dorothy Lucille Morgan of Bloomingdale in Hillsboro. Mr. McCollum had worked for Pitman Trucking and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Hillsboro. Survivors include his wife; a son Charles and a daughter Debra both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Thompson and Mrs. Nellie l. Hutts both of Hillsboro; two uncles, 3 nephews and 4 nieces. services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro Rev David Canen will officiate. Burial in Centennial Cemetery south of Veedersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

HILLSBORO — Funeral Services for Wallace F. (Wally) McCollum, age 61, who died Tuesday, June 1, at his home here, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home. The Rev. David Canen officiated and burial was in the Centennial Cemetery, south of Veedersburg on US-41. Mr. McCollum, who had been ill 15 months, was born March 27, 1904, near Wallace the son of Charles and Bessie Ellen Myers McCollum. He was married Dec. 26, 1946, in Hillsboro to Dorothy Lucile Morgan of Bloomingdale and she survives. He had been employed by Pitman Trucking Co., and was a member of the Nazarene Church. Surviving in addition to the wife, are: one son, Charles and one daughter, Debra Joann, Mrs. Helen Thompson and Mrs. Nellie Huts, both of Hillsboro. --typed by Walt W

HILLSBORO – Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the flowers at the funeral service held for Wallace F. McCollum at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro Friday afternoon were Leslie Bell, Charles Belles, Frank Kromm, Ben Mitman, Lee Corey and Marion R. Cooper. Rev. David Canen of Marion, former pastor of Hillsboro Nazarene Church, officiated and Mrs. Sarah Lou Fishero presided at the organ. She also accompanied Rev. Canen and his wife, Anne, who gave two vocal duets, “Come Home” and “Beyong The Sunset.” Burial was in the Centennial Cemetery near Yeddo. – jlr

Wallace F. (Wally) McCollum, 61, died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at his home in Hillsboro. He had been ill 15 months.
He was born March 27, 1904, near Wallace, the son of Charles and Bessie Ellen Myers McCollum. He was married December 26, 1946, to Dorothy Lucille Morgan of Bloomingdale, who survives.
Mr. McCollum had been employed by the Pitman Trucking Company and was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Other survivors include a son, Charles, and a daughter, Debra Joann, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Thompson and
Mrs. Nellie Hutts both of Hillsboro.
Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. at the Crumley Funeral Home. Rev. David Canen officiated. Burial was in the Centennial Cemetery.
