Hillsboro, May 8 – Manford McCollum, 47, employed as a farm hand on the Rowe Furr farm south of Hillsboro dropped dead at 8 p.m. Sunday as he was carrying a young calf into the barn. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. McCollum who had resided on the Furr farm the last four years was born only a short distance from the farm. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. At McCollum. Surviving are the widow, Inez Kelly McCollum and a son Jimmy at home who will enter military training soon.
