McCOLLUM, Julia Ehrie - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

WINGATE - Mrs. Julia McCollum, 89, of Rt. 1, Wingate, died this morning in Carmen Nursing Home. She was a life member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and had lived most of her life in Fountain County. She was born near Wallace Oct. 23, 1884, a daughter of Michael and Catherine Broderic Ehrie. She married Everett McCollum Oct. 27, 1908, in St. Bernard's Church. He preceded her in death as did a son and daughter. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Katheryn Turner and Mrs. Frank Peffley, both of Crawfordsville; a son, Bernard of Waukegan, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Nick (Mary) Lukas of Chicago, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Bernard's Church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry F. Ward officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o'clock Sunday. - jlr
