Hillsboro—Jasper L. McCollum, 71, died at 6 a.m. Monday of a heart attack as he was preparing to go to work at the Harrison Steel Castings Corporation, Attica. A former resident of Williamsport, he had made his home here since November with a niece, Mrs. Helen Thompson.

  Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Centennial Church near Yeddo. The Rev. Arthur Howell, Methodist pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Centennial Cemetery. Crumley and Son Funeral Home will be in charge.
  Mr. McCollum was born Dec. 28, 1876 in Montgomery County, son of James and Mathilda McCollum and spent most of his life in Wallace and Mellott. He engaged in the ditching business before taking employment at the Attica plant. He was not married.
