James T. McCollum, 45, died suddenly at his home three miles north of Crawfordsville at 3:30 p.m. Monday. Born March 30, 1921 in Crawfordsville, a son of John and Emma Puckett McCollum. He was married to Maxine Davis in 1942. An army veteran of World War II, Mr. McCollum was a heavy equipment operator. Surviving are the widow; a son, James McCollum and a daughter-in-law; Carolyn, both of Crawfordsville; a brother, Kenneth of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Opal Harshbarger of New Richmond and Mrs. Dorothy Miller of Crown Point and a granddaughter, Amy Sue. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday. --typed by Walt W
