Gertrude Lee McCollum, 87, 407 Grace Ave, died at her home early Sunday. Mrs. McCollum was born July 7, 1883 to John and Martha Bennett Sexton near Wingate. She married Samuel McCollum who died in April 1965. She was a member of Hillsboro Christian Church. Survivors include three sons, Fred of West Lafayette; Ernest of West Covina, Calif and Ray of Veedersburg; four daughters, Mrs. Pearl Hunt of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Emily Booe and Mrs. Bertha Taylor of Danville, Ill and Mrs. Blanche Pettit of Waynetown; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwendolyn. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Alfred Dodds officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday. - kbz
