Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

William Grant McClurg, age 94, a former Covington merchant, died Tuesday, May 8, at 4:30 p. m. at the resident of his son, James McClurg, in Yoder, Ind., where he had made his home many years. He had been in ill health for several years. Mr: McClurg was born April 25, 1868, in Covington. He was married to Bertha Menefee, who preceded him in death on April 10, 1954. Mr. McClurg was a former Covington merchant. He operated a second-hand store and grocery stores here. The last grocery store he operated was located where the Fountain County Hardware Store is now. Mr. McClurg was a member of the Waynedell Bethel Church. He is the last member of a family of four children. Survivors include his son, James of Yoder; two daughters, Mrs. Lethel Siddens of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. Anna Louise Martin of Ft. Wayne; a grandchild and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, at 10 a. m. at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Ed Irvine of Ft. Wayne will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the Funeral Home where friends may call after 4 p. m. Thursday.  --typed by Walt W
