Luther Edward McClure, 56, of Veedersburg, died Saturday afternoon (March 15, 1975) at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville, Ill. where he had been a patient for a month. He had been ill for the last 10 months. He was born Aug. 2, 1918, in Newtown, the son of George l and Florence Coffing McClure. He married Rosa Trueblood on June 17, 1950, and she survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Gail and Debra and a son, Douglas, all at home; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Roman of Danville, Ill., and a brother Fred McClure of Veedersburg. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Mr. McClure was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Europe. He was a member of the United Brethren Church. A former employe of the Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Attica, he also was a former owner-operator of the Trojan Store in Covington. He lived in Veedersburg for the last six years and was a former resident of Covington and Attica. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Dale Cadman will officiate and burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  - thanks, Beth R for typing this one :)
