COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS)— Hurshel V. McClure, 57, of Covington Route 3, was found dead at 10:45 p.m. yesterday (May 7, 1968) at his home. He was believed to have been dead about 24 hours. Death was attributed to natural causes by Bob Shelby, Fountain County coroner. Born June 9, 1910, in Wabash Township of Fountain County, he was the son of George L. and Florence E. Coffing McClure. He was married in 1940 to Betty Lou Runyan, who survives and resides at El Monte, Calif. Mr. McClure was a graduate of Perrysville schools and had farmed most of his life. He had been employed by the Classen Chevrolet-Buick Agency in Covington for the past three years. He was a veteran of service in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Community Holiness Church at Cayuga. Other survivors include two sons, Donald of Oakwood and Gary, at home; three brothers, Raymond of Danville, Fred of Veedersburg and Luther of Covington Route 3; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Romans of Covington Route 3; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. Clara Vacketta will officiate. Burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery, east of Covington. Military graveside rites will be by the Fulton Banta American Legion Post. The body is at the funeral home.
