McCLURE, Florence Coffing

Mrs. Florence E. McClure, 70 of Veedersburg Rt 3 died at 7:45 a.m. Monday Sept 2, 1957 in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville where she had been a patience since Aug 26 when she fractured her hip. Born in Fountain County Sept 13, 1877 she was the daughter of Abner and Elizabeth Zigler Coffing. She was married Dec 1, 1898 to George McClure who preceded her in death as did two children. Surviving are four sons: Raymond of Alvin, Ill; Herschel of Gessie, ind and Fred and Luther both of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Roman of Covington; four brothers, Clarence Coffing of Lafayette; Theodore of Crawfordsville; Ernest and Fred both of Attica and a sister, Mrs. Sadie Dudley of Philmore, Ind (sic Fillmore?). Prior to moving to Veedersburg in 1945 she had resided in Perrysville where she was a member of the Christian Church. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Christian Church at Sterling with Rev. Joe Dearmin officiating. Brial was in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. – kbz
