WALLACE --- Charles E. McClure, 78, was found dead at his home west of here about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mr. McClure, who lived alone was born Feb. 13, 1889, near Mace in Montgomery County, a son of James and Mary Spore McClure. He was married Dec 24, 1913, to Sarah Hamm, who died in 1953. He attended school in Montgomery County and was a member of the Freedom Christian Church at Wallace. He farmed and spent most of his life in the Wallace area. Surviving are four sons, Walter of Crawfordsville, Glen of Newtown, Robert of Tampa, Fla., and Harold of Waynetown; a daughter, Mrs. Veda Miller of Crawfordsville; a brother, Chris of Crawfordsville; and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Maxwell of Lake Worth, Fla. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Burial will be in K of P Cemetery at Mace. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Saturday.  --typed by Walt W

WAYNETOWN, Ind. - Charles E. McClure, 78, was found dead at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 15, 1967) at his home west of Wallace where he resided alone. Born Feb. 13, 1889, near Mace in Montgomery County, he was the son of James and Mary Spore McClure. He was married Dec. 24, 1913, to Sarah Hamm, who died in 1953. He was a member of the Wallace Freedom Christian Church. Mr. McClure was a retired farmer and had resided in the Wallace community many years. Survivors include four sons, Harold of Waynetown, Walter of Crawfordsville, Glenn of Newtown and Robert of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Veda Miller of Crawfordsville; a brother, Chris of Crawfordsville, and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Maxwell of Lake Worth, Fla. He was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd; three sisters and two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Servies Funeral Home. The Rev. John R. Servies will officiate. Burial will be in K of P Cemetery at Mace. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 10 a.m. Saturday.  -- jlr
