Hillsboro - Betty McClure, 68, of Rt 1, Hillsboro died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital. Mrs. McClure had served as a part time salesperson at Kenney's Shoes in Crawfordsville for 20 years. She was a 1939 graduate of Rosedale (Ind) HS. She was born Sept 6, 1921, south of Rockville to Ora and Margaret Hawkins Brown. She married Dale McClure of Waveland Jan 24, 1944 at Rockville. He survives. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Alice Collins of Fort Worth, Texas and one brother, Rex Brown of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
