Covington, Ind. — Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Virginia Jean McClaskey, 43, at a hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. McClaskey died at 3 a. m. today (Feb. 8, 1967). She had been in ill health several months. A former resident of Warren County and of Danville, Ill., Mrs. McClaskey was born Apr. 8, 1923 near State Line, the daughter of Clarence and Elva Murphy Adkins. She was graduated from Covington High in 1941. She had resided in Danville and Denver, Colo., before moving to California 10 years ago. She was married Apr. 9, 1948 to Robert McClaskey and he survives. Other survivors include her parents of Covington Route 2; a son, Michael, and a sister, Mrs. Marilyn Dixon of Covington Route 2. Mrs. Virginia Jean Adkins McClaskey, age 43, of Los Angeles, Calif., a former resident of the Covington community died at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, in a hospital in Los Angeles.  She had been in ill health several months.
A former resident of Warren County and of Danville, Ill., Mrs. McClaskey was born April 8, 1923 near State Line, the daughter of Clarence and Elva Murphy Adkins.
She was graduated from Covington High School in 1941.  She had resided in Danville and Denver, Colo., before moving to California 10 years ago.  She was married April 9,1948 to Robert McClaskey, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: one son, Michael; her parents of Covington Rt. 2; and one sister, Mrs. Lowell (Marilyn) Dixon of Covington Rt. 2.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Carroll Funeral Home in Ventura, Calif.  Burial was in the Ventura Cemetery.  - jz
