Attica—Raymond “Bud” McCaw, 77, 309 W. Washington St., Attica, died at 9:08 p.m. Monday, May 29, 1989, in United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville, Ill. He had been ill five weeks.
He was born May 3, 1912, at Romney, the son of William and Nora Catherine Moore McCaw. He was raised in the Romney area and had been a resident of Attica for 52 years. He was married June 16, 1934, in Lafayette to Mary E. Moore, who survives.
He attended school at Romney and had formerly worked in the tool and die department at Alcoa in Lafayette for 33 years, retiring in 1975. He was a veteran of WW II, having served in the Navy.
He was affiliated with the Free Methodist Church in Attica.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Raymond F., Attica, and John W., Winter Haven, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Betty) Bell, Attica, one brother, Richard of Illinois; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in Maus Funeral Home Chapel, Attica, with Pastor Edward Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 3318 of Attica. Visitation was 6-9 p.m. Thursday. – thanks to S
