Pine Village Oct 14 – Mrs. Ota I (Cooper) McCaw, 63, wife of Otto McCaw, died yesterday at her home near here. Born at Mellott, she is survived by the husband, a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Soey, Pine Village; three brothers, Charles and James Cooper of Mellott and Frank, Greencastle with two sisters, Mrs. Minnie McCalister and Mrs. Jack Reichard, Crawfordsville. Services are 2:30 p.m. Friday from Newtown Baptist Church. - kbz

Mellott - Funeral rites for alfred Otto McCaw, 77, former Mellott resident were held Sunday April 10 at 2 p.m. at the Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette. Burial was made in the Masonic Cemetery near Waynetown.

\McCaw died at his home in Lafayette at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 8. He had been in failing health for the past three years with a heart ailment.  

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Soey of lafayette and a sister, Mrs. Amy Keller of near Kingman. His wife also deceased was a sister to Charles and James Cooper.

Those attending the funeral services from Mellott were Mr. and Mrs. James Cooper, Mrs. Simon Baity, Charles Cooper and daughter Miss Gladys Cooper.  McCaw and his family left the Mellott community about 20 years ago - kbz
