McCAULEY, Gladys Williams

Mrs. Gladys B. McCauley, 73, of near Newtown on Wingate R1 died Saturday, June 7, 1975, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette. She had been a patient only three hours. Born Dec. 1, 1901, at New Richmond, Ind., she was the daughter of Charles and Barbara DeArman Williams. She was married in 1938 at Fowler to Claude C. McCauley, who survives. She attended Center Schools in Montgomery County and was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women, and the Order of Eastern Star. Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Rodgers of Urbana, Ill., Mrs. Elanor McCarty of Lafayette and Mrs. Mildred Townsend of Newtown; two sons, Charles Spurgeon and Robert Spurgeon, both of Newark, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother perceded her in death. Services at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Watson officiating. Burial in Wheeler Black cemetery. The family requests that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the American Bible Society or the Heart Fund. - jlr
