McBROOM, Laura Follick Rivers - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Hillsboro - Mrs. Laura McBroom, 80, resident of Hillsboro many years, died early Tuesay morning at the home of hers on, Errett Rivers in Plainfield. Mrs. McBroom was born Sept 3, 1875 in Illinois, daughter of Oliver and Angeline Phillips Follick. Her first husband Charles Rivers of Waynetown died more than half a century ago and she was later married to George McBroom of Hillsboro who died Feb 1950. Mrs. McBroom was a member of the Hillsboro Christian Church and Women's Missionary Society. Survivors include the son at whose home she died; 3 grandsons, Charles Rivers of Texas and Allen and Jack Rivers both of Plainfield. Also 7 great grandchildren. The body is at the Crumley Funeral Home where friends may call. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the fh, with burial in Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown. - kbz
