Pine Village – Gerald R. McBroom, 74, a drug store owner here for 30 years, died Friday at Americus, Ga. He had been ill four years.  Born at Hillsboro, Mr. McBroom was trustee of Adams Township and active in community affairs while a resident of Pine Village. He sold his business here in 1955 and moved to Americus where he was in the furniture business and later in the used car business before retiring because of ill health. He was first married in 1923 at Chicago to Pearl A. Brown. His second marriage was in 1955 to Winiskia Kite who survives. Mr. McBroom was a member of Americus Central Baptist Church and Rotary Club, Pine Village Masonic Lodge and charter member of Pine Village Lions Club. Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Sharon) Brunjes of Kansas city, Mo; one stedau, Mrs. LH Martin of Burton, SC; two sisters, Mrs. Russell (Birdena) Eberly of Whiting and Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Marlette of Aberdeen, Md and one brother, Paul McBroom of Broomfield, Colo. - kbz
