Claude R. McBroom, 81 of Monrovia, Ind died recently in the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a retired self-employed interior decorator. Born near Hillsboro the son of Mr. and Mrs. Seldon McBroom grew to manhood in this vicinity. He had been a resident of Indianapolis for 50 years and had resided in Monrovia for 10. He and his wife, Edith M. McBroom who survives have been married 51 years. Other survivors besides the widow are five daughters: Mrs. Carl Christoff, Mrs. Charles H. Sprigal and Mrs. Thoma sToole all of Indianapolis; Mrs. James Ristoff of Houston, Tex and Mrs. Frank Guyre of Danville, Ind; two sons, Bruce McBroom, Ft Wayne and Evan W. McBroom of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. anna Williams of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services were held in the Royster & Askin Mortuary with burial in Floral Cemetery. – kbz
