McBRIDE, Martha Allen - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG--Mrs. Martha L. McBride, 86, died at noon Thursday in Fountain Nursing Home at Covington where she had been a patient two years. She had been in failing health three years. Mrs. McBride, a resident of this community 53 years, was a member of the First EUB Church here. She was born Jan. 10, 1878, near Cates, daughter of Valentine and Selina Booe Allen. She married Ora McBride Dec. 11, 1898. He died Nov. 27, 1957. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Merle Atkinson of Frankfort and Mrs. Thelma Frazier of Veedersburg; a brother, Pearl Allen of Kingman; a half-sister, Mrs. Josie Davis of Kingman; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16, at Fishero Funeral Home here. Interment will be in Rockfield Cemetery.
