George H. McArty, 73, of 206 W. Washington St., Attica, died at 8:55 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 1962 at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. He was an interior decorator.
Born in Vigo County March 26, 1889, he was a son of Alfred D. and Rebecca E. Thompson McArty.
He was married May 27, 1933, in Marshall, Ill., to Mary Elizabeth Delp, who survives.
Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Engle of Rosedale, Mrs. Fern Wallis and Mrs. Viola Carr, both of Terre Haute, and Mrs. Virgie Kramp of St. Louis, Mo.
He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis Haskell officiating. Burial was in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery at Kingman. - jz
