Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Mrs. Pauline McAdams, 82, of Attica R 4, (Independence) died Monday evening, Aug. 17, 1981, at Community Hospital in Williamsport. She had been ill since Saturday. A life resident of Warren Co., she had lived for 73 years in Independence, where her father owned and operated a grocery store from 1888 to 1933. She attended Williamsport schools and was a member of the Riverview United Methodist Church at Independence. Born Aug. 7, 1899, in Independence, she was the daughter of John G. and Lina Hechtel Heischman. She was married on Sept. 3, 1919, in Williamsport to Everett E. McAdams. He died Aug. 14, 1975. Surviving are a son, Lawrence McAdams of Attica R 4; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Tirpak preceded her in death. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday morning in the Maus Chapel in Attica with Rev. Jack Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery at Williamsport. - jlr
