LYONS, J. Frederick - L-Obituaries

Attica—J. Frederick Lyons, 86, 108 E. Second St., Bloomington, Ind., died at 9:16 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 1989 at Bloomington Hospital.

  He was born Jan. 18, 1903 at Attica, the son of Charles Albert and Emma Johnston Lyons. He had formerly lived in Attica and had resided in Bloomington the past 51 years. He was married May 28, 1928 in Indianapolis, to Gertrude Post, who survives.

  He was a graduate of Attica High School and Indiana College of Pharmacy at Butler University. He was owner of Lyons Drug Store at Bloomington for 51 years.

  He was a former member of the First Lutheran Church of Attica.

  Surviving besides his wife are one son, John Frederick II, Fort Wayne; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Renfrew, Bloomington, and Esther Lyons and Mary Elizabeth Lyons, both of Attica, and two grandchildren, John Everett Lyons and Michael Bradley Lyons.

  Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home Chapel, Attica, with the Rev. R. Gene Sherrill officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. – thanks to s
