Charles P. Lyons, 69, who has resided in the vicinity of Hillsboro for the past few years, moving to Covington in the early spring, died at his home in that city, Thursday morning, July 15, following a ten days illness. He had been suffering from heart trouble. He was born in Troy Township on September 15, 1874, son of Jacob and Mary Alkire Lyons. Hewas married in 1929 to Clara B. Noble, who with one sister, Mrs. Mayme Welch survives. He had been employed as custodian of Covington City Park since March 1, 1943. Funeral service was held from the home Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock with Rev. J. Shields White of the Covington Methodist Church in charge. Burial in the Prescott Cemetery.
