LYON, John D. - L-Obituaries

John D. Lyon of Attica, age 74, died Saturday night, July 24, at his home. He was born in Mentone, November 14, 1907, the son of Frank and Jennie Alice Eaton Lyon. In 1929, he married Anna Belle Jones, who died in 1932. February 17, 1935, he married Annette Dinsmore, who survives. Lyon was a member of Mentone Baptist Church and a charter member of Attica Lions Club. He retired in 1972 after working as office and personnel manager at C & D. Battery Company.

  Also surviving are three sons, Larry F. of Attica, Donald F. of Williamsport and John D. of Lansdale, Pennsylvania; four sisters, Louise Evans and Betty Milligan, both of Attica, Irene Smith of Lakeland, Florida and Nell Reed of Mentone; a brother, Donald F. of North Webster; and seven grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Maus Chapel in Attica with Rev. Kenneth Burris officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Attica.- thanks to S
