WINAMAC — Margaret B. “Marge”
Lynn, 83, Winamac, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2006 in Pulaski Memorial
Hospital, Winamac. She was born Aug. 13, 1923 in Centrailia, Ill., the daughter
of Oliver and Marie (Doliar) Newsome. She married Chester Lynn Aug. 17, 1943 in
Chicago, Ill. He survives. She had lived in Winamac for 35 years. She had
formerly lived in Chicago, Ill. and Covington. She was a member of St. Peters
Catholic Church in Winamac, the Christian Mothers, the Toastmasters Club in
Covington, and the Sunshine Girls Club. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending
time at the casino boats. She and Chester spent time together making quilts.
She enjoyed watching the birds in her yard and spending time with her family.
Survivors, besides the husband, include: a daughter, Nancy (Jerry) Knoth,
Brooklyn Park, Minn.; two sons, James R. (Lynne) Linowski, Lexington, Ky. and
Dale C. (Franny) Linowski, Gilbert, Ariz., six grandchildren; and 10
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters,
and four brothers. Funeral Mass was at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter's Catholic
Church, Winamac, with Father Jim Miller officiating. Burial was in St. Peter's
Cemetery, Winamac. Memorial contributions may be made to the heart fund.
