LYDAY, Dessie Stout Ocheltree - L-Obituaries

Sylvania — Funeral services for Mrs. Dessie Lyday, age 85, former resident of the Kingman community, who died at 3:30 p. m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, were held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman. The Rev. Robert Carey officiated and burial was in Rush Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Lyday succumbed at the Britton Nursing Home near Rockville where she had been a patient for the past three and a half years. She was born June 22, 1877 at Sylvania, the daughter of Murphy and Martha Atkinson Stout. She was married to Charles Ocheltree, who preceded her in death. She later was married to Robert Lyday, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Lyday was a member of the old Methodist Church at Sylvania. Survivors include: one son, Cletus Ocheltree of Kingman; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Stoup of Kingman; Mrs. Grace Bonebrake and Mrs. Elsie Baity, both of Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one daughter, two sons, two brothers and four sisters.  --typed by Walt W
