Benjiman Marion Luther, age 45, of Chicago, a former area resident, died Tuesday, June 18, in his hotel room at Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., while on a business trip. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Born June 18, 1923, in Attica, he was the son of Walter E. and Bessie L. Smith Luther. He moved to Lafayette in 1944, then to Hoopeston, Ill., for a few years before going on to Chicago in 1949. He had been a service representative for the Matrix Contrast Corp. of Chicago. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Survivors include: his widow, the former Florance Pajak of Chicago; three step-children all of Chicago; one brother, Jay Carl Luther or Arkansas; and his mother, Mrs. Henry Bogle of Pine Village. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. Elden Brown officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. --Typed by Debby Masterson.
