LUSE, Jennie - L-Obituaries

Atica - Mrs. Jennie (Coates) Luse, 83, of Flora, died at 2:20 a.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She was admitted to the hospital Wednesday after suffering an injury in a fall while attending an auction sale at Flora.  Born near Monticello, she was married to Frank Luse in 1894. He died in 1928. She spent most of her childhood in White County and moved to Attica with her family in 1917.  She and her family Moved to Monticello in 1926 but later returned to Attica and lived here until 1957 when she relocated at Flora. She was a member of the Attica Assembly of God church.  Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Fred Sell of Goodland, Mrs. Grace Smith of Veedersburg, Mrs. Ralph Haddock of Lansing, Ill; Mrs. Edith Nolan of Lafayette and Mrs. Goldie Gallien of FLora; two sons, Earl Luse of Monticell and Alonzo Luse of Oolitic; two half brothers, Elwood Coates of Elwood and Roy Mower of Monticello and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Luse.
