WINGATE
— Paul Leroy (Roy) Ludlow, 57, a prominent businessman of Wingate, died at his home at 11:40 p.m. Monday of a heart attack. He had been in ailing health for two years. Mr. Ludlow was born April 13, 1901, in Fountain County, the son of Austin and Martha Mallott Ludlow. He married Bernice Brucker of Indianapolis Oct. 25, 1924. He had been in the grocery business in Wingate and Shadeland for several years, getting his training while working for the Kroger Co. He was employed by the Carnahan Grocery Co. of Lafayette at the time of his death. Mr. Ludlow is survived by his wife; a son, Richard of Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Gross of Wingate and Miss Carolyn Ludlow of Wingate; a sister, Mrs. Clara Shannon of Indianapolis; a brother, Homer of Adrian, Mich., and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Homer Hunsinger of Lebanon in charge. Burial is to be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
