Covington – Flora B. Ludlow, 101, of Covington died at 6:20 a.m. Monday Jan 7, 2008 at The Waters of Covington. She was the daughter of Cleveland and Hattie Zanes Romine, born in Covington Oct 10, 1906. She attended McCarty School and was a life resident of Veedersburg. She married Ernest Ludlow in 1922 and he preceded her in death in 1963. Mrs. Ludlow was very interested in politics, work, gardening, canning, sharing and helping others. She was an active member of Sterling Christian Church for 50 years. She is survived by four children: Wayne Ludlow (wife Wanda) and Georgia Brown both of Lawrence; Bennie Ludlow (wife; Shirley) of Hillsboro and Patricia Ludlow of Villa Park, Ill; and a dau-in-law, Doyne Ludlow of Veedersburg.
Visitation will be at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg on Thursday Jan 10, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Friday Jan 11 at 11 with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment Osborn Prairie Cemetery. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 10 great – gr. Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Earl Ludlow, a son-in-law, Wm. Brown, 3 grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Flora’s 101 years were filled with family, work, laughter and love. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sterline Christian Church. 0 kbz
